Six degrees of Separation is a satirical dramatic athletics create verball(a)y by John Guare in 1994. When Ouisa and Flan realise the truth, they discoer that Paul has withal conned to a greater extent than of their friends. When Paul cons a young, poor couple and steals all their money, the young man is overcome with grief and commits suicide. Paul calls Ouisa and Ouisa convinces him to fun himself over to police with the promise that she will regularly tattle him in gaol. Six degrees of Separation is heavily influenced by the myth catcher in the Rye and this is reflected throug h the personalities and behaviours of many of the characters. Guare has include oft satire in the play and this can be reflected in many ways through the double-sided Kandinsky painting the Kittredges throw and display in their apartment.

The painting reflects the satire of the severaliseing characters of the Kittredges and Paul, Pauls two different personas and also the thicket between Ouisa and Flans personality, especially towards the end of the play. The two-sided Kandinsky reflects the tell apart between Flan and Ouisa to Paul. Flan and Ouisa lead an ordered lifestyle which is represented by the geometr ic side of the Kandinsky painting, while Pau! l leads a more irrational and ever-changing life which is represented by the hush-hush side of the Kandinsky.
